Principles
The Trust Central Team uses existing systems and processes to carry out appropriate checks and balances for the following statutory duties.
The St John’s Governance Team monitors activities in relation to the following statutory duties.
Our Governors are very dedicated to our school and its continuing improvement. As well as attending meetings, governors are encouraged to make regular visits into school to see the children learning, talk to teachers, and ensure the school environment is safe.
In order to do this governors need to gain knowledge on how the school operates by attending training, attending regular meetings and getting to know the school community through visiting the school during the day.
Governing bodies are required to meet, in full, a minimum of three times a year.
Governors can be contacted via the Clerk to Governors - Mr S Hales (St John's CE Primary School, Sallowbush Road, Huntingdon, PE29 7LA or email clerk@st-johns-pri.cambs.sch.uk)
